Video: All I Know: Sean Borkenhagen
“I am quite proud of this piece that Borky and I managed to put together for several reasons. The intro at Sean’s house is something I’ve been wanting to capture for well over a year, however, the opportunity had never presented itself until now. I’ve never shot something like that, so it was a great learning experience! As a whole, this Web film helped me to work on my “director” skills if you will. Filming Sean’s morning scene took a bit of time to make sure we broke down all the parts that were needed and all the angles. Thankfully, Borky had enough trust in me to know that it was going to be worth doing some of these shots a few times before we moved onto the next shot.
“As for filming the action, we spent about an hour and half handling that. We broke down each section of the track, and I had Sean do each section several times so that I could capture all the angles I was looking for. I would have liked to have broke down the second whoop section and second triple a bit more, but they kicked us off the track so that they could water. Nonetheless, I am still very pleased with the end product. I knew from the beginning that I would use a fast punk rock song so the more angles the better in order to make the clips have that fast-paced feel.
“Overall, this is one of my proudest edits. I can’t begin to thanks Sean enough for trusting me and the idea that was in my head, and for even coming up with a few ideas himself! It’s always a pleasure when you have a rider who is not only cool with doing the same thing a few times over, but also giving their own input on things they think would be cool, etc. Grand total: two days production and a day and a half in post. I hope everybody enjoys!”
